Celebrating Successes: Ford Austin

You remember our first Student Artist, Ford Austin!

He just celebrated a major success, and we wanted to share it with you.

At this time last year, Ford Austin didn’t have a hip and was bedridden.

“On July 26th at 8:30 am, Ford and Steve walked the Lumberjack Festival Run/Walk (4.7 miles) and completed it in less than 1:30:00. We accepted two free rides from local police in a squad car and were dropped off at the end of the pack of runners. Each ride was roughly a half mile. When we completed the race, everyone but the man who owned the race clock had left. Getting stronger, better, faster and cuter everyday.  Everything happens in the best possible way at the best possible time. Next year we will do it without rides and in less time! We made last place look INCREDIBLE!

Thank you to all of you who helped me to live again. Especially Lauree, the love of my life who sat by my bedside everyday and never saw me as a sick person but always as the healthy person I am today. I love you.”
