26 Nov Artists for Trauma and Big Sunday
We were so pleased to take part in Big Sunday’s “Books and Brunch” event the other month. Big Sunday is an incredible non-profit organization, connecting volunteers with organizations and projects in need of help. We first connected with Big Sunday through a nonprofit networking event. In addition to connecting volunteers, Big Sunday also offer donations of books, furniture and more to nonprofits.
Their book drive earlier in the year was so successful that they had a special “Books and Brunch” event where volunteers, including volunteers from AFT, organized hundreds of donated books and prepared them for distribution to different non-profits. We were excited to get several boxes of art books for our military and civilian trauma survivors, and it was such a wonderful day.
It was really inspiring to see volunteers of all generations and backgrounds coming together in the spirit of giving back. Big Sunday’s motto is “everyone helps, everyone wins”, and we’re so delighted to be connecting with this fantastic organization.
