12 Dec Join Artists for Trauma and Modern Multiples at “The Gift of Public Art” this weekend!
Artists for Trauma, in conjunction with Modern Multiples, is pleased to announce the launch of the Inkubator Arts Program, cultivating young and emerging artists through artistic engagement and leadership.
The first young artists to take part in this program, Jake Hendrix Hakim and Catalina Bolivar, both aged 15, will showcase their work as part of “The Gift of Public Art”, a holiday-themed public art exhibition taking place in the Cypress Village Underground Tunnel this weekend. Their work will sit alongside 200 feet of public art by local artists and an installation of street campaign posters by Shepard Fairey.
The opening reception takes place on Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 6 PM to midnight, across the street from the Antigua Coffee House at 3400 N. Figueroa, Los Angeles, CA 90065 and is in conjunction with the NELA Artwalk. Further artwork by local artists will also be exhibited at the Antigua Coffee House.
We invite all in “The Village” to join us in Cypress Village for a night of creativity, connectivity and community.
