17 Apr Clay and Angela Helton Foundation Donation through Sew to Slow COVID19
Artists for Trauma’s Sew to Slow Covid19 picked up 50, high quality, face masks from sewer, Lilian Raven Clothing. A fellow travelers and AFT team member then dropped off the masks to Karen Michelle L.A. to donate the masks to The Helton Foundation. It truly takes a village!
One mask at a time – we join sewers and other diverse community service individuals, organizations, businesses and corporations across our local to national communities to support the boots on the ground heroes!
The Clay and Angela Helton Foundation’s mission is to “give back to our Los Angeles community. We have decided to focus our community outreach efforts to the homeless youth of Los Angeles. With the help of the USC Suzanne Dvorak-Peck School of Social Work we were introduced to My Friends Place and Safe Place for Youth. They are both homeless agencies that provide meals, showers, clothing, health care, education, employment support and more for homeless youth. We have been serving meals and delivering donations to My Friends Place and Safe Place for Youth for over 3 years with the help of our Trojan Family. We invite you to be a part of our “Live to Give” campaign. Through your donation we can continue to provide assistance to these homeless youth.”
