Ford Austin has been a part of AFT since the beginning. Not long after his own life altering traumatic event, Ford became the first student artist when Laura Sharpe paired him with a music teacher to help him relearn to speak. Laura and her team of angels also helped Ford relearn to walk with the donation of a Nintendo Wii. Professionally, he has been making feature films, television and live theater across the country for 30 years. Notable directors he has worked with include: Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Bay, Vicky Jenson, Ben Affleck, Dan Gilroy, Jay Chandrasekhar, Dax Shepard, Fred Savage and more. In 2017, Ford relocated to Oklahoma City to launch a number of businesses for Anderson Family Office. In addition to managing the family oil business (APCO Oil), Ford created the APCO Med dispensary chain of stores. He is on the Motion Picture Council at the Producers Guild of America, a member of the Television Academy, has qualified over 20 films for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in LA, SAG-AFTRA and is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio where he was mentored by screen legend Martin Landau. Today, Ford is pursuing a professional croquet career and a return to the New York stage in addition to seeking opportunities for Artists For Trauma in Oklahoma where he currently lives with his beautiful and amazing wife Lauree Dash.
