Kirk Scott
Kirk Scott is a strategic social impact advisor, educator and passionate advocate for underserved communities with over 25 years of experience in education and philanthropy. As the founder of Kirk Scott Consulting, Kirk works to create community change with professional athletes, entertainers, established non-profits, and startups with projects from South Los Angeles to Southern Africa. Additionally, he is the Director of the Sports and Entertainment Division for the Edward Charles Foundation.Before launching Kirk Scott Consulting, Kirk was the Vice President of the Magic Johnson Foundation and served on the Magic Johnson Enterprise/Magic Johnson Foundation Executive Team. Working to create meaningful community change through business and non-profit, Kirk launched a cause marketing campaign with Walgreens to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and revenue in 7900 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico. Kirk has a passion for creating opportunity in underserved communities.Prior to working with the Magic Johnson Foundation, Kirk spent five years with the Urban Youth Workers Institute as the Development Director and also launched a national mentoring program for community leaders. During his tenure he launched and directed 23 Learning Communities in 14 major US cities.Kirk also spent 10 years in public education as a teacher/coach and administrator in both Oregon and Los Angeles. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and Master of Arts in Cross Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Leadership and Urbanization.
