AFT hosted its signature Adaptive Painting Workshop at VCMC, bringing together life altered adult trauma survivors of significant TBI and polytrauma, VCMC Clinic staff, and AFT volunteers in an environment of inspiration, hope, friendship, and new connections all through the magic of art making.
Participants came together sharing stories, smiles, and laughter as paintings were made revealing an abundance of talent in the room. With requests for AFT to return to VCMC in the future, and with many requests by individuals to establish relationships with AFT on a more personal level, the day was yet another success of creating an inspirational and limit free space where individuals discovered and rediscovered aspects of self thought to be lost to trauma.
